Weights and much more

The boys are back from the ultrasound.

The little guy's weight was 2 lb 7 oz - up 13 oz in 3 weeks.  That is 1.1 kg for all my metric-speaking friends.  He has fallen off the growth chart and is below the 5% percentile for weight at his age.  The doctor's are sure they can fatten him up later.  Overall, good growth numbers.

The big guy topped the scaled at 3 lb 13 oz - up 19 oz in 3 weeks - 1.72 kg.  "Little Hack" is in the 78% percentile for weight at his age.  This boy likes to eat...

The closest guess was made by Dee (Danielle Wagner I think since the post was made at 6:20 am) with a guess of 2 lb 9 oz and 3 lb 12 oz.  Nice job... for a prize you get to come over and help Tricia change diapers for a couple weeks.

Now the big news... the doctors are again seeing constant reverse flow in the little guy's umbilical flow.  He also did not show reactivity on the NST this morning.  Both babies did pass the BPP test.  Based on this latest news, the doctors have decided that the time is near for delivery.  Tricia has been scheduled for a c-section on Christmas Eve (Dec 24th) at 11:00 am.  This of course assumes that things remain the same for the next three days.  They could get better or worse and the delivery date would move accordingly.

We will keep you posted with any other updates... what a Xmas this will be!

Ok, I cry every time I read this web site!!! Happy tears and scared tears. I am so.... happy you have all made it this far. I kind of thought they'd be here in time for the Holiday's. I am praying more now than ever, and will continue to do so. This has taught me so much about life and God above. He sure does work in mysterious ways. I can't wait to see those little fighters. Please continue to keep us posted. Hugs and Kisses, Todd, Shawnna and Logan

Santa always brings some great gifts and babies are probably the best present life has to offer. Your holiday will become HOLIDAZE but in such a good way!

We'll keep praying for all of you and after the Browns kick butt on Sunday the babies will want out to celebrate!

Hang in there lovey - we are all so proud of you.

Outstanding. Uncle Red will easily remember when it's time to administer their birthday spankings.

Great job Tricia!!! Just a few more days.

I am so proud of both of you, for going through this with such great attitudes. All of those prayers ARE helping those two little guys. I enjoy your terminology; "Little Hack" and "TFF". Christy and I both check your blog daily.

Christmas Eve it is!! I know those weights seem so small, but once you have been in NICU for several weeks, you realize they are pretty good! Not to mention, gestationally, those boys are in a good place too! You guys remain in my prayers! :)

Way to go little guys and Tricia. I am just amazed at how far the two little ones have come. Kaitlyn was born at 3 lbs. 14 oz. Sounds to me like the big guy will beat her. My prayers are with all of you and let's hope they stay in there till New Years eve (like Annie predicted)

I still can't believe you have made it this far! How awesome to have Christmas babies....besides the fact that they will get ripped off with birthday/Chritmas gifts! I think this will be the Christmas you will remember the most and how fitting that it is your "official" first Christmas together!
I am headed to Florida and wish I would have made it in for a visit...But not to worry, you will have your hands full soon enough and I will be back mid January to help you and meet the boys! All my love these next few days! Merry Cristmas!

You have come so far since I first talked with you. It is so nice to help someone local. It was so nice to meet you when you dropped of the NICU book. It means so much to me to see your babies do so well.

God bless you all and Merry Christmas. You have so much to look forward to.

From my heart,
Mary, TTTS Foundation

Tricia and Albie
The lump in my throat is throbbing... On this momentous morning my prayers are with you. Remembering back 4 months ago, exactly, when my own twins were born, I am beside myself with excitement for you!! Listen, stick together and constantly thank God for the 12, 2, 4 and 6am melt downs that are around the corner! Oh what little miracles you'll be holding soon. CAN'T WAIT to praise God when I get to meet them!
Merry Christmas

Just finishing reading your entire website and my heart goes out to both of you and kudos for being such strong parents. And just think Tricia, I wouldn't even be here if it hadn't been for that Bears/Browns game (that remember the Bears won) and you had to drink the 'Brain Tumor'. Ha ha, good time! I can't wait to see pics of these little guys who will share my birthday here on the website. All my love, and my thoughts will be with you all day and throughout. Dianna

Tricia...I'm just reading your updates and it's 10:15...you're probably getting prepped for surgery. In less than an hour, you will be a mom! Congrats to both you and Albie--now a family of four! Life changes in an instant. I always wished I could bank all of my bedrest for later! Many happy times are ahead! I'm thinking of you! Shelley K.
